Alan is in charge of overseeing all operations and training at Nottinghamshire Driving School. He has over 30 years experience working within the British Security forces and Fire Service, teaching and training in Northern Ireland and Iraq which involved working with Police, Military and Fire service personnel under blue light conditions.
He was holds the George cross citation award, RUC long service medal, Iraq reconstruction medal whilst working as a trainer for the British Home Office. He has numerous other awards for his dedication to his training over the years. He has been dedicated to helping raise money for charities by completeing the Three Peaks Challenge, numerous sponsored marathons and bike rides. He currently sponsors an under 7 year old football team in Nottingham, an Amateur Horse Eventer and is currently looking at setting up a remote control car racing circuit for kids and charity.

He has spent over a £120,000 pounds on building a private tarmac yard with fully facilitated offices to ensure everyone trains under the exact conditions they will find themselves on during their test.
He is a happily married man with 2 beautiful children and he lives in North Nottinghamshire.
